chay - new to almera

awesome able to post now , just introducing my self ill get some pixs later today , got myself a 1.4 almera si , looks great and love how it drives , any ideas on what to do with it first , i want to get the performance up and change the looks bit by bit (no chavy stuff tho) cheers.

for performance, go for an induction kit from ebay. one for a ford focus, it includes a large stainless tube. this moves the filter over to the behind the battery, so the filter shouldnt suffer from sucking up hot air. a normal k&n replacing the airbox will probably decrease performance due to the position of the throttle body.

tbh the SI is so naff to start with a few subtle changes can make it alot better which is all i have done with mine, nothing big or expensive has been done and it still needs lowering and a few other bits but thats been done on a tiny budget over the past year

Only joking, Can't find any pics of how it did look, but I lowered it, Alloys and a back box. Didn't want to spend to much, due to saving for the latter.

But like sprint said, a few subtle mods makes all the difference.

thxs for the info guys , i got he car for free in a way my rents gave me a primera estate 2.0 s , my insurance was way to high cos im 22 and it was to big for the city , pretty annoying although it had bags of power and loved the engine hence why i wanted to stick to nissan , so i pretty much swapped it for the almera , it has air con and the spoiler part on the bk window already , the induction kit info is great thxs for that , next i want to colour code my mirrors and the blk plastic on the side of the doors then the back lights , then black alloys (white car) as i say ill post picks tomorrow to see what you think, laterz

welcome along mate.. enjoy the forums, if you have any more questions or anything.. feel free to post em' up and we'll try help you with it

White! Sounds good! Are you wanting to get some black rims or spray some standard Nissan ones black? Good luck with your car!

So exactly which kit would fit .....cause i've been after one of these for a while now ..???

Cheers Alan , is it an easy job to fit too ?...or does it need a bit of tweaking ...

Goes straight on!

The reducing connector that also comes in the kit allows to you connect an 86mm BMC CDA to the 76mm stainless tube. The elbow is 76mm on one end and 70mm on the other. 70mm is the throttle body size on the GA engines. All I did was bend the bracket and jubliee clip it to the stainless tube, then bolt it to the existing brakcet for the OE airbox (you'll see the one I mean, theres only one).

welcome to the site, was informed to come and say hi to ya.

nice to have someone else from my area on here!
