clifford alarms?

anyone know how to disarm a clifford alarm without using the keyfob?

my keyfob wasnt working to open the car, so i opened it with the key and the alarm went off and the immobilier done its job on the engine, now the car wont start.

the valet switch or whatever its called isnt working and when i put the key in the ignition and turn it on then off the doors sound like they're locking and unlocking theirselves every 2 seconds or so.

i'm confused and need some help

thanks

i remember on my old nova back in the day that was delocked with a clifford alarm. i had to get in through the boot once, i openened the bonnet and running from the battery on a wire was a fuse, bit too easy i know but when i pulled it out it broke all conections for the alarm.
ovbiously alarms will or should be better these days

i think this alarms an older one too, at least 4 or 5 years old, i disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the remotes started working again but the engine still wont start.

...pin code?
lol
all i know is that there's a "valet swtich" under the dash which is supposed to do something.

yeah you should have a pin code you enter into that switch which overides the system!

i see...

the problem here is that i bought the car with the alarm already fitted and was given no details of the alarm and no documentation or anything.

i shall give clifford an email and see what they say, my nearest clifford place is about 60miles away. i'll phone them too.

luckily i dont actually need the car, i was just going out to turn it over for a while as its not being used much right now until i get insurance sorted.

"Hi Kieran,

If you don’t have the valet code, it cannot be retrieved so the only option
is to either get someone to take a look for you, or buy a replacement alarm.

To arrange either and obtain prices please call our sales line on 0800 389
7200.

Best wishes,

Guy"

ahh the wonders of a helpful customer service

lol, yeah, i know, its a tricky situation as its with an alarm, the alarms aren't made to be easy to disarm without knowing the combination or pin number to do it.

but then, just saying "theres nothing you can do, buy a new one" isnt too helpful.
