since i have lowered my mera i ve noticed a clunking noise coming from the front end when i turn the wheel from lock to lock, but only when the car is stationary and as its MOT time at the end of the month im a little worried as to what it could be. Any body got any ideas as to what it could be

are you sure its not just the wheel hitting something?? what size of wheels have you got on and how much have you lowered it?

this is a similar problem that i had, its because the spring isnt sat in the shocks proparly. the shocks have a groove for the springs to sit in, if ther not in this its like the spring is stationary and not moving as a unit.
take your car back if you had it done in a garage if not get to it.

it just sounds like the steering thumping when its reached full lock i've heard loads of cars do that, i think if it was something to do with the suspension it would make the noise when you where driving aswell??

i had an idea that it may have been something to do with the spring not sitting properly,so i guess ill be working on my car tonight.thanks alot for the advise.

This is correct, that is defo the problem.

It could also be the edge of one of the upper coils fouling against the rear of the arch cavity (best way I could describe it  ) when turning the wheel - Jack up the car and peer up at the spring and using a torch see if there are any witness marks.
