I live in France & have just bought a 2nd hand Almera. I need to ask a reeeaaally basic question!! I'm trying to get an insurance quote but it needs to know the exact model of the car & all I know is that it's 1.6 1999. How do I tell if the car is:
100 CH SR
100 CH SR Deluxe
I 100 CH
I 100 CH ABS
I 100 CH couture
I 100 CH SLX
Sedan I 100 CH
Sedan I 100 CH ABS
Sedan I 100 CH couture
Sedan I 100 CH SLX

Sorry to ask really basic but I can't find anything on the car or in the manual which tells me!

Maybe look at the badge on the boot?

I don't know of any other French members.

Go into your nearest Nissan dealers, give em the chassis number and they might be able to help you.

Unless it is an SRi (rear spoiler, dark interior with sporty seats) it wont be the top 2.

I 100 CH
I 100 CH ABS
I 100 CH couture
I 100 CH SLX

If it is a hatchback, it will be one of those

Sedan I 100 CH
Sedan I 100 CH ABS
Sedan I 100 CH couture
Sedan I 100 CH SLX

If it is a saloon, it will be one of those.

Once you work that out, you can narrow it down. If it has rear electric windows, it's probably an SLX. If it has very low spec i.e. no air con, no cd player etc. it's probably the top one.

Best bet is to go to a dealer.
