Crankshaft position sensor A circuit

Hi, I have a Almera tino1.8 petrol and the Engine management light has come on. My code reader says crankshaft position sensor A circuit, I have seen it might be a stretched timing chain but want to change sensor first in the hope it is actually just that. Where is the sensor positioned?

Found it, changed it, now it won't start

have you tried puttng the old one back in?

Hi happyharry, thanks for the reply. It's working now, I had a senior moment and realised I hadn't put the connector on the cam sensor. I changed both of them to be on the safe side. Running sweet as a nut now
