creaking 2003 flare

when i go over speedbumps a loud creak comes from the front of the car, is this common? was debating wether to grease the suspesion?

Take it to a garage, a creak from the front could be hundreds of things, its impossible to tell. And there is never any need to grease the suspension, its lubricated inside the damper, the reason you dont see any fluid on the sliders is due to the oil seals preventing the damper leaking.

i was thinking mounts but cant pin point the noise only happens on speedbumps

A friends skoda fabia was creaking badly from the front,bought a tin of silicone spray from Halfrauds and sprayed all the linkages such as anti roll bar bushes etc and its been quiet ever since.Worth a try for a fiver.

+1 to that, had the same problem on my old p10, the bushes on one of the lower arms where just dry as a white dog turd, slapped a bit of lube on there and it shut it up

going in for a service on wed so fingers crossed the creaking is easily fixed
