Daiyama rear coilover strip down

just thought id put pictires and specs up of how a rear coilover breaks down i suspect the Ksports are very similar..

iv done this to get accurate measurments of the springs length and I.D also the shock length ect anyway pics :-

so the length of the springs is 220mm internal I.D is 70mm unfortunatly most racing springs infact all available from demon tweeks are 2.5" 65mm so dont fit but i know tein do 70mm ones so i ahve found out the list of springs available from Tein these can be found here :-

so im going to look at getting 175mm length 8kg/mm tein springs which means i will be able to lower the car alot more than the standard springs allow but also means the back of the car wont be a wollowing jelly pile..

you could do the same but the other way for the Ksports if there too harsh but dont go to wild as the dampers will need re valving if you go to hard..

Been there, done that with the D2s. Had to strip them fully to replace all the dampers.

There is a spring rate spec list for D2 springs on http://www.d2racingsports.com.au/tech.html They are 2.5" springs though.

i was looking at replacment shocks from jic but there fine if the d2's were 2.5" though like you say then its aloi simpler to get springs for them and i would say that ksport are also 2.5..
