Dashboard light remains on

Hi

I have an Almera Sport and do not possess the owners handbook and when I turn the engine on a symbol remaines lit on my dashboard when the oil and water symbols go out. It is orange in colour and a wierd shape and I wondered if it was meant to depict the engine maybe but am worried there is something that needs looking at and I don't know what. Anyone help?:lol:

sound like the engine manage ment light too me, i would get it checked out

Yep, sounds like engine management, if you`ve had any work carried out recently, check the lambda sensor is plugged in, (there should be a plug above the exhaust manifold).

I forgot to plug mine back in on my old N16 once, & the engine management light came on, causing me great concern, until I realised what I`d done & plugged it back in again. :lol:
