De-cat?

I assume my Autech system would be the same as a GTI, looks the same to me when it was on the ramp.

Do you think a removable de-cat is worth doing? Then I can just swap it over for the MOT etc.

Is it a worth while mod? If so, where can I get one? ;)

A decat is a decent inexpensive performance mod to do.

Look on ebay US for Sentra cat resonator - i just bought one £10 with £30 Postage - looks really nice too good sold quality. delivered in a week.

However, i tried to fit mine the other day and those bolts are solid! I'm going to have to get some WD40/penetrating oil and spray on every day. I'm sure others will tell you the same. If/when i get it fitted don't forget to smear copper grease on bolts so its easier to undo for MOT.

will post a pic or 2 when i get some time to fit it.

My Sri passed its MOT with the secondary cat (the one in the mid section) removed. Has done for the last 4 years (fitted by previous owner)

your kidding! so just with the pre cat! madness

The cat in the manifold does all the hard work? Or so is my understanding. Due to the Lambda sensor taking a reading from there? Cat in center section is a backup to further filter any shite and keep Co2 levels in check. Someone confirm this?

i thought the precat was there to protect the main cat on cold start up? what i was told anyway.
