Make sure you they send you straight pinned ones as i got teh offset ones and had to force them in then smashed one in the process resulting in payin 15 notes for a new set from autosave as i was desperate doh. My fault really shouldnt have tried it

Offset ones fit. You just remove one pin. ;)

Heya I'm new on here, ive de-globed my indicaters and expecting some clear side repeaters in the post ne day now. Has any1 else de-globed theyre indicators and used chrome bulbs, i bought some and they are crap, they luk like your battery is flat, so atm ive put amber bulbs in, they look better than standard but obviously you can still see some orange.

Any comments welcome thanks.

I have clear side ones on the car but the bulbs I brought at the time were soo dim i just put the orange ones in that came with the lenses. I admit they were one of the cheaper sets of silver type bulbs so you get what you pay for i expect but didnt want them to flash so dimmly that it would cause an issue on the MOT or something so thats my reason for just using the orange bulbs now.

k k ill try the philips bulbs next then. Next mod im gonna do is drop my car 40mm, yum lol. ive got 14inch alloys atm lol, they came with the car wot can i say, haha.

I got Silverfusion bulbs in mine, and they are ggod.

If you already have amber bulbs though, you could give them a light sray of silver paint. I have done this on my girlfriends car, and they flash alot brighter orange than mine. :D

i got some led indicator bulbs from www.ultraleds.co.uk cheaper than the silver bulbs and i think they look better, only thing is the indicators flash fast as though you have a bulb out, i think its because of the difference in resistance of the filiments of the bulb of summit, you can buy a flasher unit that rectifies this though.

Mine came with 14inch alloys as well

Not on your own mate.... i was gonna drop it on coilovers too... but i'll just save for a sportier model, SRI or Gti... :D all in good time...

See im not sure weather i shud drop the car 40mm or get my stainless backbox first, my exhaust baffle has supposedly collapsed so when accelerating hard, passing my m8 he sed my exhaust made a big rushing air sound, i dont no wether it is the baffle or just cus the standard exit pipe is such a small diameter.

Should you declare de globing and changing the repeaters to your insurance company?

lol.....r u serious? ;)

if u are don`t worry about it, they would never notice or be bothered.

lol, I am serious, i've been screwed over by insurance before so dont like to give them ANY chances to get away with crap this time.

I asked my insurance company about this type of thing on a previous car.
Modifying lights, inlcuding adding lexus lights would not of effected te premium.

Could never see them noticing the changes at all think you would be fine iv never even considered it an issue at all.
