if you de-glode the front indicators is it legal and will it pass its MOT coz it will flash at white lights rather then orange?

Moved to the correct section!

You buy bulbs that look silver but they still flash orange. Loads of companies do them.

Indicators cannot flash white, not even your side repeaters, they all have to flash orange or an instant fail. You could even get pulled by the police if they notice them flashing white and could even be issued with a fine if they feel in the mood. As rick says, get some silver coated bulbs, I have some infront of me ready to put in car when I get my deglobed indicators fitted. I got Philips SilverVision bulbs but there are others about.

I got offset pin ones (10 to 2 sort of position) but they wedge in ok in the holder and don't move so wont pop out at all. Couldn't find any really with the opposite pins.

I had to do the same! Works fine and as above definatly wont pop out! :P

i just bought chrome bulbs which flash orange the opposite pins which are the correct fitment of ebay fit and work perfact only about 5 pound for 2

if its phase one indacators ur deglobing paint the side of them black inside like the phase 2 s thats what i done

de-globed my Almera today. To melt the sealant i used the oven method but i only left them in for about 3 mins because i was worried i might damage them. Well 3 mins wasn't enough and i cracked the clear plastic trying to prise it off:doh!:
Oh well, you cant notice it much and it was well worth the result, the car looks MUCH better.

Bet you`ll get condensation behind the lense now it`s cracked.
Got condensation in one of mine. Will try and seal it better when I can be bothered. Doesnt affect the operation of it still so just leaving it at the moment.

i cracked mine and its condensated inside tryed to seal it but the glues went all white so im looking for a set of indacators

If you haven't already, read the "How To" post by NeilSR guys, its a very easy modification to do and only takes 3 or 4 minutes per indicator.

i just tapped the globe out of its position and chopped it up with side cutters, didnt need to take the units apart. and i also have the sprayed bulbs method lol. bout some rubbish silver ones that made my battery look flat they were so dim, so just gave a light spray of primer on some amber bulbs i had in the garage.
