Hi
I was wondering if anyone here has had the Nissan badge removed from the bonnet? I know it has pins that go through the metal work so it will be fairly expensive to have it removed. How much should I be looking at paying for it to be done?

Thanks

just for two pin holes? just fill em/sand it down/spray it urself mate! (practise on somethin else first like!) will cost about £30 with the paint etc!

That type of thing is beyond me, mate! I'd make a right mess of it.

Spraying might be a lil OTT, try the touch up sets you get from halfrauds...... get it in ur coulour, follow simple steps, bobs ur uncle fannies your aunt!

aye now you mention it touch up paint would probly do, so thats about a tenner for the body filler, and a tenner for the touch up paint, have you got any mates who could do it? rather than you risking it yourself, £100 just seems alot to get rid of one tiny silver badge.

will touch up paint do it? I have had bad experiences with that stuff before which I put down to the fact that the car is 5 years old and has obviously faded slightly so the paint did not match very well.

Thanks for the ideas guys

About 100 some one said

I think the Person said that was filling it in and spraying.

Ilf you have a Phase 2 then I woud get some one to weld it and spray it (there are holes.

If you have a Phase 1 then there are no holes but there is the groove so u can just fill it in yourself but need some one to spray it

Someone once mentioned halfords doing an exact colour match of your car on here, like if your car had faded from the standard colour they would check the colour levels of your particular panels and match paint to that, meaning you'd get an exact match, cant remember who mentioned it though, or where:S... i did have a point i promise...

I was quoted £100 to get it done!

I should have just asked them not to bother making holes and puting a badge on when I got my bonnet replaced!

Baz

Oh ok i though there was no holes in there

bootlid badge

Is the Nissan badge on the bootlid just stuck on, or does it have pins like the bonnet?

Am getting rid of the ALMERA & SE badges, but if the Nissan is hiding pins then that is staying put!

I debadged mine on and the Almera and the SE Badge on the back there are no Pins on the badges but if you want to double check take the plastic off behind the badge to check :)

Do job properly mate saves it rusting as well.

I know the Almera & SE badges are just stuck on.

It`s the Nissan badge @ the top I want to know about, is it just stuck on, or has it got pins, like the bonnet one?

Had the trim off, but couldn`t get behind the wiper motor to find out! :(
