Could anyone explain if the internal moving parts of a SCV in the fuel pump, are lubricated by the diesel fuel.
I was wondering why these tend to fail on the YD engines and why mine hasn't (touch wood) had any problems over 100k miles.
BTW, I have always used BP or Shell fuel, changed the fuel filter every 20k miles and chuck in a dose of Miller's Diesel Power Ecomax every fill up.
