thats probabley just a generic picture that they use for all there k&n induction kit auctions...

that fitting is perfectly right as the K&N kit is no more then just a universal filter, a coupling hose and a "cold air feed". i wouldn't waste my money on it as you will lose power. there are several alternatives, like the ractive on whiteys SRi.

and how much do they go for and do they fit easily and just the same?

The K&N does not lose power over standard. It is however not as effect as a kit that relocates the filter to the side of the engine where it doesn't get as much heat soak.

i don`t know where this `loses power` thing came from, yes i know the filter was tested along with every other filter on the market, and the results showed a loss on the performance with a k&n filter fitted.

1. the test wasn`t conducted on a mera.
2. how accurate was the rolling road?

well i think i gonna go for one, i mean its the sound i am after more lol :D

im just saying - the very fact that its at the back of the engine bay in a crampt area - its obvious its not going to work effectively. alot of users on here have said that they would keep the airbox instead of getting a K&N.

The K&N on my old meera did f*ck all for sound...

also no offence mate, but you have posted an almost identical post before this...if it says almera/primera fitting its probably gonna fit, the 1.4 and 1.6 have an identical TB in an identical position, not to mention that most of the K&N's are pretty universal already...

i know we all like asking questions, but is there any need for this ammount of posts on this subject??? we were all new once, but this is doing my head in...

as concluded in the old post, buy the bloody filter and stick it on your car!!

sorry, rant over :wall:
