Door lock Problems

Last night my key got stuck in the door and wouldn't come out for about 15 mins of struggling and trying not to snap the key..
Now the lock barrel dosen't want to turn at all..
any ideas?

Try squirting a load of wd40 into the lock.

Yeah I was thinking that, hopefully free it up a bit

sounds to me (not sure if the almera are like it) but that one of the "teeth" that reads the kinks in the key has "dropped" and catching.

might need a new barrel = new lock set = £35

EDIT:

this is what i mean, obviously this is a yale style, not overly sure if the barrel on the almera works off a tumbler spring system or not though!

Any chance you can swap the passenger door lock into the drivers side door for a quick fix?

ill let you think about the dimensions/angles etc for a second

then think if we can mirror the lock to the other side
