Should say on wherever you looking at on the clutch kits...

Pm shaggy_master

Hes got a Xtd 4 puck clutch.. he rags his car daily and done many 1/4mile runs im probs gona get one of them..

These must be new as Exedy did not do "uprated" clutches for any FWD SR'd nissan. However they did supply an oem clutch which they claimed was "up to 20%" uprated compared with stock nissan part. I bought this and I think it's excellent.

This was info direct from Exedy Europe on June 3rd 2009.

It comes all from ebay. They sell sr20de nissan 200sx/sentra exedy stage 1 and stage 2 clutches. I believe exedy stage 2 thin $ 300. Although xtd really has a bad name, everything you google about xtd is negativ.

S'pose it is possible if it's coming from America but I just got my parts man to contact exedy (europe) again today and they can confirm they do not sell any FWD uprated clutches for any SR'd Nissan.

Could be someone supplying an independant clutch disk I suppose if someones figured that the disks are the same size/spec as certain other applications but exedy themselves do not list them as such.

XTD seem to get a good write up on flywheels, but pretty hit and miss with clutches. Looks like the cheap clutches are poor, but the more expensive ones like what Joe has, are good.

yeah thats supposedly XTD

google "jim Song"

as far as anyone can see he is the director and pretty much sole worker of XTD clutch and Aimco Clutch.

further backed up by the fact when i emailed regarding a flywheel it was him i dealth with. why would a managing director of a company be answering sales emails?

Nout wrong with running a tight ship on your own!

theres not.

but XTD cant be described as a tight ship.

yes they do sell good flywheels. but there is a lot of problems with clutches. and there "guarantee" is non existent once a problem occurs.

saying that, Joe runs an XTD and rates it highly. and i will most likely be running an XTD puck clutch as well. so its really if you wanna take the risk

however i wont be buying a fly from him as i have found a reputable supplier at a very good price :D

Bit more digging and it turns out your right and that Exedy Europe are lying bastards!!!!

Exedy USA advise that part nos 06802 (Exedy Racing Stage one 50% uprated) and 06902 (Exedy Racing Stage two 70%) are available for the US Sentra SR20DE however will not garuentee fitment due to different gearboxes being used in the US Sentra to UK / Jap Pulsars - apparently.

With ref the "topic", Exedy themselves can't give actual values.

joes clutch will be for a sentra.

dont think the housings will be different on the sentras though...

edit.

your running a sentra flywheel steven. so if a sentra fly fits an almera so will the sentra clutch

my exedy clutch slipped bad when i reached 90hp, but the genuine (luk) has coped fine with 100 ish hp (when i measured the diaphram/spring the exedy one was made of 15% thinner material)
but this was on a little 160mm clutch, and may not apply for the bigger ones :)

there are numerous uprated exedy clutches available, they are used regularly on the PGA forum but do not come highly recommended as there have been alot of pressure plate failures.....

I've had an Exedy Organic clutch on my GTi for about 3/4 years, and its still going strong. Its part number is 06802, as mentioned by Steven earlier. It most definately fits :)

Exedy do a number of clutches that will fit, both stronger and weaker than the one I have.
