Hello, I thought I would sign up as here as I have been on NPOC for about a year. My name is Malcolm (just call me Mal) and I drive a 1998 P11 SE Nissan Primera. I Live in York, work in Leeds and my car is known to my mates as the Chav Bus :rolleyes:!
I regularly attend the NE Primera meets but love the look of the 1998 range Almera too, was wondering if any1 was interested in some joint meets and get our two forums closer together!
I am hoping my full active status will kick in shortly as I am thinking of aranging a RR day in Leeds. If any1 is interested i will persue it further!

Hey Mal welcome to the AOC :) It seems that a general Nissan club and forum doesnt seem to be as close as a car specific club but we should try getting these together more. More chance of more people turning up to a meet! You heading to JAE?

Quite like the silver bits youve got on the front there. Something a little different. I've got an N16 so you're probably not interested!
 
welcome along fella, good idea about joint meetings ,me and a few other aoc members meet up with some npoc members in norfolk around feb time and it was a good turn out & day :cool:
 
Welcome along too ... I`m new on here, and Me and Mr P are also on NPOC !!

Yeah, I like the silver bits, however sometime I think they a tad OTT (its worse now though as added a completely silver GT front bumper, Vinyl'd the sides silver from the rub strips down, and ASAP I will be painting the wing mirrors and rear bumper too!!! Looks ok so far!

Hey Edk, Which is the N16. I actually prefer Almeras (dont tell any1 on NPOC know i said that lol) My dad had the choice in 1999 to get either the prim (that i aquired last year) or a gorgeous Red Almera GTI. Took the almera for a spin and we both loved it, but coz we needed a car to fit Dad, Mum, Me my bro n sis in it, the primera won through! Saving grace was that it was fitted with the 150BHP GT engine (very rare in a SE apparently)

Yeah, There has been a sudden increase in the amount of NPOC members in the York / Leeds area so there is a bit of a debate on as to whether the current NE meet should split to a Durham and Yorkshire variant.

At the moment every1 seems split.

Either way, we will be meeting up once a month, the current NE meet does (1st sunday of each month at the sunderland nissan plant. (the primeras were made there, suspect the almeras were too)
If any of you guys wanted to come along to that you would always be welcome!

If the leeds meets come into effect, or the NE meet ventures down this way I will put a post up whenever they are on!!

As I said before, I can arrange a RR session in Leeds at £35 per car (10+ cars) or £40 (up to 10) So as soon as I manage to generate some interest on NPOC I will put a post up here! :-)

Oh, and unfortunatly I am missing out on JAE, Just not enough free cash to do both JAE and Japfest!!! Maybe next year tho Argh
 
The N16 is the model from 2000 on. I've got the phase 2 which is the result of a facelift in 2003. So it's the more modern looking Almera. Standard they don't look too hot, but I've found with a few tweaks they can look much more respectable!
 
Yeah, I see what you mean. I agree, I dont like it in standard form, but the modded ones look sweet. I take it that is yours in the signature? I like the black wheels with the grey body! So is the N16 an equivalent to our P11-144, or P12? I'm thinking p11-144! :confused:
