F@*KING SNOW!!!

I just clattered my newly refurbed wheels of a curband now the steering is wobbly and pulling to the left strongly. What does anyone think the problem is?? Either buckled wheel or knocked the tracking out loads.

Anyone offer some advice as id rather not pay for a garage to have a look as im sure you all know its Christmas and money is tighter than my Scottish Uncle.

Cheers.

definitely tracking, may need wheels balancing too. check the rim isnt severly damaged - ie; split

depends how hard you hit it, may need a track rod end

It was a pretty heavy collision like, it seems the rim itself is only scuffed. Iv only just put new tyres on yesterday and the balancing was done at the same time, I think the best way to see if the wheel is knackered is to get it on a balancing machine but again thats gonna cost me. :(

Could be worse mate! This happened to me yesterday!!!!!!

try and get it welded up. if its done properly it will be fine

a mate had some 5zigens (S14a) he went straight into a curb to miss a cat and damaged was similar to that, he took it to a engineering place and they welded it up and skimmed it down. you can tell its been welded but he never got it refurbed after or anything

Right well i went to the local mech and its potentially bad, he tried to get a reading of the wheel alignment but couldnt cos the nearside front has been pushed backwards towards the rear of the car. Now then im certainly not payin through the nose for a fix up, id rather do it myself. just need to know whats bent, track rod, strut, suspention arm, antiroll bar.

Any ideas of likely causes?

Good shout biscuit.
Girth that sucks!

again another idea... If you go national and book your car in for a FREE VSC check they will check the whole car for you for free!!
