Fantastic GTi Whats your best fuel consumption MPG????

Hi there after my record breaking mpg on a tank of fuel I was thinking that for 140bhp the GTi delivers fantastic fuel consumption.

My GTi has uprated exhaust (4-1 stainless steel manifold and downpipe), Janspeed back box, uprated Bosch 4 pin spark plugs, uprated ht leads, pipercross air filter) so probably running about 150bhp at present.

What is your best MPG in your GTi.

Mine is 43mpg (50% motorway/50% round town) thats is fantastic for the performance of the GTi and seeing it is 10 years old as well??????????????????????????????

i alway seem to get 30 - 32mpg, however thats round brum up and down dual carriage ways to work - 6 miles each way i guess.

43mpg on big poss heavy 17's is nice if you can get it.

I know I couldnt believe it either my car seems to be getting more fuel efficient the more performance mods I add. On my 200sx for each mod I added I seemed to lose 5mpg!!LOL.

31.7 mpg is the record in the past couple of weeks since I started tracking it. On a 1.4. Ouch.

Below 35mpg if doing loads of small runs and driving with high revs. At the moment getting around 35mpg going to work, 50 miles per day, and revs not going above 4k. I have had a 39mpg = girlfriend in the car for a week:lol:
