Ive got my check engine light up and managed to get the code to "0171"
Just wondering if anyone knows wot it is, or a website to check code numbers out??


wanna get it fixed before it goes bk to the finance company (otherwise ill just remove it from the system :)) lol
 
DTC No. P0171 or 0171 Malfunction is detected when ...

+ Fuel injection system does not operate properly.
+ The amount of mixture ratio compensation is too large.
(The mixture ratio is too lean.)


Check Items (Possible Cause)
+ Intake air leaks
+ Heated oxygen sensor 1 (front)
+ Injectors
+ Exhaust gas leaks
+ Incorrect fuel pressure
+ Lack of fuel
+ Mass air flow sensor

its not the fuel, HEGO, injectors

so MAF, air leaks or even fuel pressure.

im getting the fuel pressure (as my pump started making a whining noise a while ago, i assumed it was the HEGO so i changed that at a cost of £80+vat)
