JClark Aug 18, 2007 #4 I do. Would be safe to use filler on/in alloys or would it be a bad idea that could come flying out at high speed and hit someone in the head causing death?

F Fred Aug 18, 2007 #5 Get an alloy wheel repair kit from halfrauds, expensive, but you know it`ll work properly.
kristian AOC Trader Aug 18, 2007 #6 Filler is commonly used to fill scratches on alloys, its strong and safe.. When the kerbing is bad you grind out the lip and reform the shape with filler.. ..obviously this works only when theres a few mm needed

JClark Aug 18, 2007 #7 That's pretty much it tbh. The lip (GTi alloys btw) has been pushed in about 5 mms. I've knocked the inner bit back out level with the lip but there remains a depression. So i'll be ok to fill the dip?
