fitted back bumper :(

i bought the joy tuning kit for quite cheap, i like the front end quite a bit and think the skirts look smart. to finish it off I thought I better put the back on as well. I put it on and it looks hideous! Its got nothing appealing about it. it squares the back end up and looks horrible. i dont wanna have to buy another aftermarker bumper but my car looks a bit silly with the standard si bumper on the back and kit on the side and front. what should i do??

yeah i got some pics mate, they are of it as it came tho, still white. and it just doesnt look nice. the back can stay standard for now. i will post the pics tomorrow

Whitey had a big one on the back of his old SRi, didn't go too mad on it myself and looks a little box like or square, same as you said. Think that was a Joy Tuning one. Not sure if this is the same as the one you have.

check out this post, aftermarket front bumper with standard back bumper.
not sure on what yours is like skirts and all but it will give you an idea of what to expect.

the skirts are aftermarket too and in my opinion if you follow the lines on the standard rear they match up a hell of allot better to the joy skirts than they do over standard.

i also used to have the 'revised' joy tuning rear bumper which i did like - i then sold to matt as i was planning to sell up.

maybe you should do what hellraiser did and modify the joy juning back bumper! you've nothing to lose

its a different bumper not a mod, joytuning did two kinds

I remember when Whitey got his Joy tuning rear bumper. He was saying that it needed added support on it because of the sheer weight. And also it needed cutting out for the exhaust to go through. Not worth the hassle really. It looked alright when I saw it in the flesh.A bit boxy like said though and not to my liking

MCR rear bumper is pretty nice though. :D

i think burying would be better for te enviroment, plus it could provide living space for moles and other earth dwelling animals.................. yeah right

ok thanks everyone for their input, i'm not too worried about the cost cos I paid £200 for the whole kit so I think I'm gonna break it into small pieces and put it in the bin :D. I'll leave the standard one for now. the only think is that i wanted to smooth the boot, so I'll have to put my number plate in the standard one some how.

Sell it to a farmer to stick on the back of his tractor and plough his fields with! Farmers pay a fortune for stuff like this!
