Fixable?

Right, when I installed my amp and rear speakers over a year ago, I made the fatal mistake of running the power cable alongside the RCA leads.

Of late, the speakers have become crackly and I have taken to using only the fronts, which isnt ideal. Can I just re-route the RCA leads and have done with it or will they/the amp/the speakers have sustained any damage?

i'm hoping just a new set of leads will do the job!

Thanks,

that isnt your problem by the sounds of it, running your rca's next to your power cable only gives interferance, (a whining which increases pitch with your revs), and thats only sometimes depending on car and cables really.
sounds more like a loose connection/dry joint or the speakers are on their way out

damn, was hoping it wouldnt be anything like that. oh well! I'll try a new set of speakers then I reckon.

Thanks for the info!
