well it should fit as requirements are only engine size 1.5 or over. says in FAQ in will fit on a Punto Sporting 1.6 so no reason why it shouldnt work on a GTi mate. Only thing is they dont give much information on it really eg install. Looked at this a few weeks back when some1 pointed it out to me but ask around first. dont know whether exhaustuk would do em. Aint sure who else would

think frog ford do the biggest flamer kit
they use Butane (same as Andy)
i'm sure he can shed some more light on the equation

they were being sold on ebay a few months back. think they was something like £35 maybe slightly more. all it said was that all cats had to be removed basically, but don`t quote me on this, just what i am remembering from the top of my head m8.

you need to have the 4 branch manifold too, andy had his flamer fitted before the header and it didnt work until the header was fitted, even with the gas you still need the unburnt fuel to ignite the gas, which sounds backwards but its true

i just been on the fone to the company who r selling me the kit its the reziztanz fire dragon flamer kit. they say that it doesnt effect cats and it will work with out damaging my pre cat. main cat has been removed. is he talkin bollocks?

lol. get in writing and see if they guarantee that. if u have any probs then you have it there in front of you to claim against them! only way round it really

its not the damaging CATS thats the problem, its the fact that, with your pr-cat inplace, you wont have any unburnt fuel in the exhaust, and it wont work, you just get the gas spitting out on the floor, you dont need the 4 branch manifold to get rid of the pr-cat though, a decent custom exhaust place could take it out, but for the money involved, you might aswell get the 4 branch for the extra few quid and get some more power

rite i rang the makers of the flamer kit and it doesnt use butane as these are dangerous. its a 2 stage flamer kit and it wires into ur 1st cylinder
u fire the first stage a little flame. press second stage and it shuts down the ignition system on ur first cylinder sending loads of unburnt fuel down ur zaust causing a flame from 3ft -6ft bloke says loads of people have bought them in last month and everybody is impresses so we see wot the crack is wen it arrives

Sounds like he's fed you a load of bollocks but hopefully it'll be alright when you get it.

hey all i can now get hold of fully set up butane flamer kits including everything you need for 6ft + flames

The kits are going for £200 each all in. these are boxed kits, with instructions, all wiring and gubbins included

all u need to do to get rid of ur pre cat is buy another standard down pipe for 100 pound including postage fom buypaytsby.com that dosnt have the pre cat in it thats what iv got

My flamer kit works with the precat on just needed to take off the cat. It is a real ass to fit and took ages but it can be done.
This is the enhanced fire dragon kit off ebay:

To be honest though with the hastle it took to fit it i would go with the butane kit Andy can get.
