So I came by a set of front fog lights for a price I couldn't turn down, along with the indicator stalk with the added function.
Put them in today and was amazed how easily it all went in, almost like Lego. That was until I tested them. The new stalk is operating perfectly on every function the car has always had (main lights, indicator, etc), but the front fogs are both completely unresponsive. I've checked the bulbs and the wiring, all of which seems intact. The only thing I can think of is that the connectors that have been sat unused in the engine bay for the last 13 years have corroded and packed up. Upon inspecting the contacts, they do seem very dull, but I'm not sure how best to solve it if that is the problem. I tried some WD40 and giving them a wipe, but that had no effect.
So, I put it to you, the good fellows of this forum... any suggestions? Have any of you ever had similar issues with a fog conversion? And is there anything else I haven't checked that would be worth looking at?
Thanks!
