after some for my motor and wondered what people thought were good?? and a few tips on fitting ect, also are our standard set up with the tweeters components?

I've got some Alpine SXS-1357 components in the front of my car. put the speaker in the factory position (used an MDF spaper to fit it to the factory mounts) and put the tweeter at the top front edge of the door card. Running them off the head unit and they're really really good speakers. eBay often has bargains on ICE.

no the speaker has 4 connectors on it, you put the cables from the head unit into the speaker, and then wire the tweeter to the remainint 2 connectors. the +ve feed for the tweeters has a capacitor in it basically ditching the low & mid range frequencies.

iv got a set of kickers in mine used a mdf spacer to fit them, there amped up ans do sound good.

But if your after the best sound then would have to say the alpine type r mate. but this is just my opinion.

focal, rainbow, names like that is what you want if you want the best, if you can buy it from halfords then its not the best

There's a lot better than Alpine Type R. type X is Alpine's top range, but still if you're got a LOT of money to splash out, there's better again.

My speakers aren't crossed over in the front, they're full range speakers so there's no real ned to. The tweeters are effectively crossed over because of the capacitors.
