Hey guys just need a little help here – so any help would be welcome.

I have had my Phase 1 GTI now for about 10 months now; it didn’t come with the optional body-kit but I have managed to get the back and side skirts and have fitted them. I recently went down to my Nissan dealer and they had a Phase 2 lying around from a kid that worked there before. The problem came when I went to fit it – The fucker is to long on the side & nearly sticks into my tires! Has anybody ever fitted a Phase 2 onto a Phase 1 or can it not be done?

Also my second point is that I have just put some 17’s on to replace the crappy 15’s but still looks a bit out of place with the gaping holes in the arches. I have had a look on the net for lowering spring – but the most I can find is 40mm – I want 60mm so does any body know where I can find some as I don’t wanna get em made up.

Cheers

same problem

hello mate i find my self in the same position all i managed to find was a set of 40mm pi springs and i am still looking for the kit so i am interested to find out how you sort it but i think it maybe a cut and refiberglass job
good luck keep me up dated

40 mm is as low as the phase 2's go, and 35mm is as low as the phase 1's go in springs.

The only alternative is to buy coilovers in the AOC group buy. These go as low as 150mm.

You will have to join the club to join in with group buys.

i dont think phase 2 splitter can be put on a phase 1 bumper. if you cant do it, then its unlikely as no-one else has tried as far as i know. theres a phase 1 gti bumper and splitter for sale on ebay just now though.
as for lowering, id say the same as swanny2k you could maybe do something to the bump stops, i dont know if that would help lower it further though. in the instructions for my shocks it mentioned shortening the bump stops to lower futher.
