FSE set up?

it was going for a good price!
I have got an aftermarket filter on and since its bin fitted the power in my sr20 kicks in about 4 4.5 when it used to pull at 3ish, Maybe hoping this would help a little?
So you set with the hose of then replace the hose!

Don't bother with it.

You'll need alot more mods, until it is 'needed'. Even then, the Nismo FPR is much better.

Why's that then Kurt?

Because it says Nismo on it

Just everyone I know who has a FSE on there car, has had nothing but problems. And the few people on here with fpr's, seem to have nothing but good reports on them.

Is it a FSE Power boost valve, if so, change it, there fairly common to lose the settings and run wild fuel presures and also dropping off.

Taken from our local site, from a lad who was running it on a Astra GSi.

theres plenty of makes out there, FSE not being one id recommend, i tend to stick with bigger names like nismo, sard, aeromotive etc. besides, the fse is like a HOUSE BRICK! compared to the others. (with the exception of aeromotive LOL)

I had prolems with my NISMO FPR when I had it installed on my JGY fuel rail, so much so that I swapped it for the FSE model and never had any problems.

I have never had an issue with the FSE unit, but maybe I have been lucky..LOL!

The hoses supplied with the FSE tend to split and throw fuel over the engine bay. Also they are a rising rate FPR which i`m told isn`t as good as a non-rising rate FPR.

Suppose its what sorta reaction you are after.

my understanding of the FSE rising rate one is to have standard-ish fuel when idling/low-revs etc. then more fuel higher up the rev range.

Spose it could save you fuel when pottering around town as opposed to the Nismo one.

I've never had a problem with my FSE either, all the hoses are spot-on and its second hand so its a good 2/3 years old now.

lol, so..... should i fit it? If so what pressure should i run it with just a uprated filter? Or what mods do i need to get more benifit??

Exhaust and filter go together hand in hand really as they are both parts of the 'respiratory' system.

Just a question... If the GTi was better before fitting the new filter, why not just go back to the original one?

not saying it was better, just u no how the power kicks in @ abt 2800 3 rpm, since the filter its more pokie but the power kicks in @ abt 3800 - 4? Since the filter the cars bin better on fuel so i thought it might be gettin to much air?
