My wife has an R Reg Primera. The fuel gauge goes up to the top on a full tank, then falls to zero when the tank is 3/4 full :(

It isn't the fuel sender as we changed it and it made no difference.

Any ideas?

yes, but what does this involve?
Well there is probably a couple of ways you can do it.If you move the sender unit up and down by hand do you get anything?
Im not really familiar with the primera so i can't tell you exactly what to do.You could do a simple self diagnostic test but i don't know whether it would pick up the fault or not but worth a shot. You would have to remove the cluster for starters and check connections and wires.A second hand cluster from a scrappy may be what you need! Hopefully someone with a primera will tune in here!!!

since its a primera you could try www.npoc.com thats the nissan primeras owners club.. there are a few members on this forum from there but they should be able to give their views aswell!!
