Gear knob

Hi forum,

does anyone know where I can get a gear knob for N16 (02). I cannot fit the universal kind and Nissan want £68 for a new one.

I will have a check at home later but I believe I have a nissan one and a 'nismo' one both are screw on gearknobs

Looking for some clarification & detail from anyone that's successfully replaced the gear knob on an N16.
Was it Glued? Screwed? Both?
How was it removed?
Heated? Unscrewed? Brute Force?

To answer the original poster here, I've found some replacement originals from breakers yards / scrapyards.

yep, got that answer in the other thread I posted on.
Speaking of my own though, after 10 years I guess the glue ain't what it was,
'cos I was able to just unscrew it manually (anti-clockwise) without any tools.
It is stiff to turn though. But that's not bad - makes it more difficult to move it unintentionally.
