Geometry Set Up?

Going to get my alignment done soon and was wondering if anybody had any info or advice or suggestions as to a set up or just go by the manufactures measurements?

Thanks Chris

As for camber I set mine at 1.5 degrees negative. Give good feel and tyres wear nice and even.

yeah a motorsport company set mine to around 1.5 degrees; I think they dialled a little more in to one side to compensate for the fact there are usually more right hand corners on a circuit than left

Haven't seen the exact arc diagram for our mcpherson strut so hard to say exactly, but supposedly we loose camber and gains positive camber with suspension travel. Not like doublewishbone where it still gains neg camber with travel even when lowered.

So to combat need more neg camber for our setups then equiv honda? If using stiffer springs might not need as much camber as suspension travel is less?

If your cars stock ride height ignore the above as arc is likely to include neg camber with body roll

They probably set it up like that to account for the weight of the driver.

It depends how lowered you are and the angle of your wishbones

Corner weighting was done with me in the drivers seat; they told me they set the camber slightly more on one side to account for the fact that there are more right hand turns than left (I believe they set the left side slightly more negative; possibly half a degree extra)

2.5* here. Slight toe out for better cornering/turn-in. As you accelerate the wheels come back to zero toe.

That's the toe I had on my previous setup. Did feel good. Due an alignment after I fit new wishbones with polys and likely I'll go that way again.

Yeah..We do need more static camber dialed in compared to our honda double wishboned counterparts though, but as its static be wary of anything over 2 degress unless u want tyre wear on inside edge rowdy can do 2.5 degress cause its not his daily lol.. and follow up

On MacPherson strut-equipped cars, the wheel will gain negative camber under roll as long as the lower control arm is positioned less than 90 degrees relative to the strut axis. Unfortunately, many enthusiasts with MacPherson strut-equipped cars lower their cars too much and make this angle greater than 90 degrees. Beyond 90 degrees, the suspension will gain positive camber instead of negative as it compresses, significantly compromising grip (see illustration below).
