GreenMile

Hello AOC Members,

I've just acquired (today xD) a green Nissan Almera N15 2.0L - CD20 diesel I4.

CD20
1973 cc
76 PS (55.9kW; 75 bhp) @ 4800 rpm
13.5 kg.m (132 N.m; 98 lb.ft) @2800 rpm

I'm a Portuguese 24 year old guy who want to be part of this community to receive suggestions and feedback about the little mods I plan to do, as so do the same with your rides.

I don't have a budget for her (it's a van) yet, but the investment's gonna be short and gradual.

I'm not a tunning fan because I like cars quite and simple, although I think we should customize our stuff according to our taste to make us feel more comfortable.

Is there any Diesel AO around here too?

Regards,

Welcome to the AOC.

Left-hand-drive, 3-door, diesel N15? Definitely a rarity around here.

Looks like it should polish up nicely and a few subtle mods will make it really nice.

Going to have to do some research on engine, performance etc as I've not seen one of these yet.

How's it run?

Thank you all for the welcome messages.

Before buying the van, I did some research in this forum (and also others, but this one seemed to be the best one ;) ) and indeed I haven't found any almera like mine.

I bet this is slower than Harvey.
Driving this is somehow like driving a tank, slow, but very strong even on climbs with the trunk fully charged, also at low rpm.

The fuel consume average is about 6,5L / 100 km (6,5L / 60 miles). ..: Beat This Speedsters:..

Top Speed till date is 183 Km / h (gps measured).

Here's a picture of her heart:

75bhp is as far as my Googling got me if it's NA.

Turbo and intercooler takes it to 96.
Although the 2.0L engine, there's a lot room under the hood (turbo & intercooler seem to fit in perfectly  ) , but I think I'll leave the engine upgrades for last.
First my eyes and my body, only then horsing it up to please my feet.

Tomorrow I'm gonna make my first upgrade, in this case to please my ears. :D
Don't want lots of noise, just a cleaner sound than the holed up original stereo system and all my music in a 8gb usb for every trip instead of a K7. o_O

Welcome :) Great to see an N15 Diesel owner.

Well mine is 6.2L around town and 5.1L on the motorway. Average of about 6.3L. So not far off yours :)

That's what the previous owner said, but I think that all sellers never say the car 'drinks' more than in reality, so I must do a few km to see it's beverage.

I've seen one like yours that runs like hell, and for sure there's some hell inside, because it leaves a dark cloud behind at every shift.

I dig your almera_n16_steering_wheel.jpg.

Those new seats look quite nice actually! Have you any pictures of the rear? I've never seen a factory prepped 3 door N15 van before. I've seen a few 5door models but never 3 door
