Greetings from Japan

Hello all,
A friend of mine Don (JDMISME) suggested I stop by and introduce myself.

My name is Scott Colquhoun and I've been living in Okinawa, Japan for 19 years now.
I work for the US Government here and I am getting back into selling JDM parts for some extra cash.

I drive a 2007 Murano now, before that I had a 2001 Honda Stream, 1994 Toyota Chaser (1JZGTE), 1994 Toyota Supra (2JZGTE), 1993 Toyota MarkII (2JZGE), S12 Silvia (CA18DET). As you can see I've been into cars since forever and still miss my Surpa almost every day. I had a few bolt-ons and dyno'd 425ps, 50KG of torque. Man that car was fast. Ironically it being fast is the same reason I got rid of it.. after I smashed it up losing control trying to drift it.

I'll soon have some parts that hopefully some of you guys/gals might be interested in.

If you have any special requests, I'll be glad to dig around and see what I can find.
-BUT-
Don ([email protected]) is a great guy and has many more connection for those hard to find JDM parts then I do.
I suggest dropping him a line for anything you might need that is JDM and semi-rare or better. He is a bloodhound for them unique parts that everyone loves.

Thank you for reading,
Scott Colquhoun

hello and welcome

i think some people may be interested im one of them ive shipped things in from japan before, buying it was cheap but the postage with ems was very expensive

will you be using the same company (ems)

cheers fella Dan

Hi and welcome to the site, I think there will be some people who are interested in parts depending on what you can get hold of.

welcome to th site. Ive bought a few things off don now and they are always top quality with rapid delivery.

hi there mate welcome to the aoc.
im sure ill be interested in a few bits in the future , deffinately a pulsar vzr grille (when ive sorted out my finances lol).

Only because Nissan didnt put a fast engine in one is it not saught after, and why Nismo didnt make many parts for it. I can imagine that's why the Japs werent into it either. USDM for the Sentra is huge however because Nissan over there stuck a 170bhp petrol in one.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I got some parts listed yesterday and I'll post a link the the appropriate forum in a bit.

-Dan - I am able to use the USPS on the US bases over here so postage is from my zip 96379. Its a little cheaper then EMS according to my associates that use it.

-Kieran - Bananas are cool. Right now I only have some N15 parts that seemed to be popular. I've read through the threads to see what seems to be popular, but if you have something in particular that you might want, I'll keep an eye out for it.

-Paul - Dons a perfectionist with most aspects of his life. He is strong willed and determined professional. I'm more of a goofball... but I'll try my best

-Rick - I have a VZ-R grill and its neatly cracked but I think if repaired properly not noticable unless your inches away from it. I'll have it on Ebay tonight and the link posted.

-Andy - I hope to have more parts available later in the year.

-Darren - N16 Parts? Thats a Bluebird Sylphy over here. What are you interested in?

-Ashley - Nice to meet you.

-mera red gti - Hi. Thanks.

-Norbert - Hi again. Thanks for helping me out. Yes, the Pulsar dropped the N16, but the Bluebird Sylphy replaced it and is the N16 for you guys. I'm not sure if the body number is N16 over here or not yet.

-Wezz - Hello.

-Steven - Hehe.. my friends call me Phatty!!... How'd you know?? hehe

-scott - Hey man.

-Simcard - Hopefully I can help find N16 parts for those who want them.

-edk - Who knows why the suits phase out a cars life. Most of the real fast fun cars aren't being sold in Japan any more. Toyota - ummm.. Nissan - new GT-R.. $80k.. to much of rmost of us... Honda Type-R's are quick.. not fast.. Mitsubishi - the Lancer Evo is almost reasonable at $35K... and I guess Subaru has the Imprezza STi .

Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome.

Scott

Welcome Scott..

The Bluebird Sylphy and specifically the QG18DE engine.. Are there "off the shelf" performance parts available for it your end?

The P11 144 Primera has this engine and there's sod all we can get it for it here.. I'd love to source a performance header etc.

Enjoy the forums and take care,
Shaun

Have a look on these forums Shaun, someone found a header for the QG engines ;)

-Shaun - Not much out there.. I'll keep digging.. found its called a G10 or a N16 is that right?

Hi & welcome :)

This might be a bit of a long shot here, but I'll ask anyway . . . . . Friend of mine is looking for a Tommy Kaira front grill badge for his Subaru Impreza (old shape). It's almost impossible to get them in the UK, just wondering if you might have better access to something like that ?

Many thanks for any info you could find on that
