GTI disks and pads??

ok so i need new brake disks front and rear and pads, gonna be replacin the fluid as well but i know i need 5.1 so no prob there

what disks and pads do you lot think i should get, everyday 'spirited' drivin with occasional fast road use :D

i dont track the car but have dragged it a few times.

was thinkin of ebc green stuff pads but am stuck on what make disks to get as they dont do rear grooved disks. anyone got any recomendations?

dont wanna spend mega money but they need doin sooon,

also got a problem the rear pads are only wearin on half the disks (not wearin on outer edges about 2 inches, will put pics up when i can, im hopin this is just due to crap pads not fitted correct
 
its been covered quite alot, dont bother with grooved discs as they are a waste of time, just get some standard discs from buypartsby theyl do you fine, I put them on the gti, along with yellow stuff pads.

mintex pads are alreet, redstuff get mixed reviews and im told green stuff are shite standard black stuff are fine though.

your rear calipers are probably seized free em all up and copper gease the chuff outta them
 
I just use EBC standard black ones and random discs from buypartsby, 5.1 fluid and stainless goodridge hoses and its fine.
 
I've just bought standard discs and pads from EBC so will let you know how they fair when they are delivered early next week. Expecting them to be fine though.
 
ok just orderin the discs off buy parts buy, gonna order the yellow stuff in a min as well any recommended places to get them cheap? was just gonna get em from my local motor factors (CES)
 
Had yellows up front for a while now Shaggy, reds on the rear. They`re superior to the reds, although reds are still good.
