gti queries

hi i have owned my gti for a couple of weeks now just a few queries

how often do you guys have to top up your coolant its been quite hot here but its seems to use a bit of coolant

the car doesn't over heat and there isn't any mayo in the oil cap maybe i am being a bit paranoid

also my car before was an mr2 turbo so maybe this is why i need to know if the almera is performing right

what speed should i expect at 6000rpm in 4th gear im getting just over a 100 mph is this right

main worry though is the coolant

one other thing how do i know if my air con needs just a regas or something more any help would be great

Hi mate, you must have a leak if you keep topping it up....unless the coolant was changed rescently and the level is stablising.

Unless you have a different g/box to everyone else your revs at 100mph will be the same as every other GTi.
 
what i mean with the revs is this what everyones else gti gets

or do they get a bit faster if so then my car wouldn't be performing right

as for the coolant i haven't noticed any leaks but i will double check i think the car was serviced before i bought it so maybe its still stabalising
 
yeah i totally understand that but what i mean is

do you know what an almera gti does at 6000rpm in 4th gear does mine sound as it performing properly
