GTI-R spoiler on N15

Hoping that it's pretty much a direct fit, but I REALLY liked the one on Neil SR's almera so I'm gonna pick myself up one. how much work is it to get it on there?

IIRC, you`ll need to shave a bit off the back, to stop it hitting the roof when you open the bootlid.

But I think that`s all you need to do, as it only JUST fits.

I can`t remember whos car it was though, (think he`s still on here) so I`m sure he`ll let you know the complexities of what`s involved.

there was one at the newcastle wekend meet with one on, still got the spioler sat here if you want one

It's NeilSR's like 24SEVEN said..

as far as i know GTiR spoilers go for quite cheap, cheaper than i was expecting anyway.

Yeah Consett_GTi had the 1st one, then his car was bought by NeilSR, who swapped the bootlid, a mate of mine in stafford was thinking about doing the same to his GTi.

ive never seen it close up on an almera but where the end mounts are it looks a bit odd as it overhangs the window, do you know what i mean? i think they need "streching" to make them look good imo

the bits where it sits on the bootlid needs reshaping to fir the mera's curve rather than the sunnys curve
it could also do with a bit of playing with the legs as the sides rests on the window and makes it look slightly out of place
ive got one in my garage, got it before last xmas with the intention of fitting it. I never got round to it though so its still there

ryte boys the one on neils motor is my old bootlid, to get it to fit i had to get the legs very slightly re-shapped to fit the contours of the almera, and the there is a bump in the middle leg of the spoiler which needs to be smoothed off to stop it catching wen the boot opens. also i agree with steve that the legs over hung the window by about 10mm each side. so to make a perfect fit i would just trim these back until they fit flush, quite a easy job for a bodyshop. but imo it looked really good, think mine was the first almera to fit a gti-r spoiler alot easier than first exspected. think it cost me less than 100 quid for the spoiler painting modifiying and fitting

best modification Ive seen on an almera, and everyone comments, grateful for consett goign ahead with it, lol

Am I the only one who thinks it´s to big? And not suthing at all?

I think it looks cool, it´s different, but i does like the standard (or the one I bought of Cow_Racer bether!)

you got to remember though chris you got yours cheap as fuck, I pid nearly £90 for mine just to buy it lol
good old ebay....

lol true steve. i think i payed 30 quid for spoiler and a standard fly wheel and other bits and bobs got them off si. think he was sick of the lying around.

and im glad u like it. atleast a pice of my mera lives on. a few people have bits of my phase 1 and and few people have bits of my phase 2 now lol lets hope my 3rd mera comes to a better end lol :D im sick of the saxo already was a mistake buying it and aslong as a nice mera comes up ill invest in another.

lol wasnt on purpose, blew the almera up bought a 306 hdi for run around decided i hated diesels and swapped it for a vtr which i hate equally as much. at the age of 22 i have had 11 cars hated all of them apart from my r5 GTT and my almera's almera is the only car i have ever owned or wanted more than 2 1 of.
