gti/sri driveshafts

right do the gti drive shafts fit a sri, because my local scrappy has one in and last night i did a burn out and ripped both my cv joints apart, cheers ian
 
no really. what the hell?

ive seen a 300bhp GA16 with stock shafts doing many a burnout without a worry. how did you rip apart your joints?

honestly i really dont know, i knew they were on there way out but even so shouldnt have done that, i will post pic's when i get them off
