been looking through pics on the site and have realised that a few of you have black tint strips on the top of your windscreens,were these standard on all gti's or an opptional extra,mine does not have one

Did your P1 have this? Mine has.
both my p1 & p2 do not have the strip,just wondering if window has been replaced at some time.

they do have a black top tint, when I got mine replaced I said over the phone make sure they bring the right one. He turned up with one without a top-tint so I sent him packing. Had to wait a couple of weeks for them to get the right one though. Luckily it was just chipped and not smashed so I could still use my car.
