Gtir Pulsar Calipers Fitment

Hi
A quick question since the gtis have S***T braking will the GTIR pulsar calipres fit ther GTi.

Any guidance please :)

rars are different i think, but yeah same brakes upfront, pads disc calliper etc

and there still shit

I think the difference is to do with the rear handbrake, could be wrong though.

ps rowdy will tell you, greenstuff pads, drilled/grooved rotors and 5.1 fluid will be all you need :P think i got that right..

Or whatever rhydd4 has in his set up as when i was in it the brakes were amazing(maybe thats just compared to my absolete brakes but they were still good.

Hopefully he will see this and post but i'm sure he has uprated hoses the 5.1 fluid and greenstuff pads not sure what discs.

Matt

I havent read the other answers, cuz now i have had a lot of "Vikingfjord", thats norwegian spitirus... (pure alkohole..)

But the Breaks from Gti-R fit right on my car, so it will fit right on your car too ;)
hehe.. As far as i know the sunny Gti-r and the almera Gti has the same breaks.. And as we all know the gti-r has 220 bhp ++.. so the breaks will do fine ;)

Ask Rowdy Gti if any Q's on break fittment.. he's got it all!! :)

Cheers... no seriously, literually......

i thought my ears were burning :D ive got standard disks (brembo), ebc redstuff pads, 5.1 fluid and braided lines.
same as what has been mentioned before on this site, brakes are now amazing, and much better now there bedded in, no more abs kicking in because im pushing the pedal so hard to stop and nothing happening

This is the setup im going for to upgrade the tiny nx brakes; standard discs (buypartsby), Reconned GTi calipers, EBC RedStuff pads, 5.1 fluid and braided s/s lines - had a similar setup on the GTi and never had any problems, i know people complain about redstuff not working well until warm but you shouldnt be caining the car until the engines warm anyway so it gives it time to warm the brakes up!

im comeing found to this idea for the brakes once the gti engine is in

had been thinking of a big disk conversion using the standard calipers or one with calipers.

I`ve always found the standard stuff pretty good. Redsuff pads hardly need any warming up and i`m soon to try yellow stuff...only to see if they last longer than 2-3 track sessions!

DOT 5.1 was the single best upgrade i made and decided on this after a few   moments while braking at Donnington.

Check out THESE for the GTiR/GTi factory replacement rotor from DBA

They have heat reactive paint so you can tell how hot they are after a hard day at the track. The 6x6 slotted design actually gets rid of more gas than cross drilled rotors and the metal used in the rotors means you can run much more aggresive brake pads without chewing the rotors to pieces.

I can get them for you guys for 145 pounds for a pair + freight if your interested :)

I had yellows on mine for over a year and that includes 2 track days and they only just went the other month when I serviced my car. The yellows on the rear have hardly been touched. I think they're fine for road use, they create a lot less dust than reds but are a little hard so you lose the initial bite on cold braking. Once you've been driving for a few mins they're fine and work very well on continuous high speed/hard braking.
