H.I.D help?!

Hi all. Just wondering if someone could help me, i have fitted hid's before but have been on single filiment bulbs such as h7 or h1. Trying to fit hids to my gti which is obviously h4 and i cant seem to make sense of the wiring i have been givin. Me and electrics have never gotten on very well so any help would be great.

eeee really wouldnt bother with them at all id go osram night breaker plus mate

+ on battery, - to chassis, that's the power for the solenoid that powers the high/low beam, then as the cable is quite long i had the lights power come from the drivers side bulb connector, then each ballast has a ground, again to the chassis then put the bulbs in, seals etc dont get the little plug connector on the solenoid the wrong way otherwise high beam will be low and vice versa

It already has them, and it's not like he's just gonna just give up the HIDs lol

Cool thanks chunky. Got 2 different looms with the kit and im not sure if its a kit for cars with canbus. Will take some photos to try and make some sense of what i am trying to say haha.

Well here is some photos. I have got 2 looms.

This loom has the connector i need..

But these connections dont fit the wiring on the bulbs loom

The other loom has the wrong headlight connector

But it also has the right connector i need for the bulb side of the wiring

This is the connector on the bulb side

I am pretty sure the wee connectors allow for the bulb to switch between hi and low beam

Help lol..

You are missing Ballasts and that wire goes to a Ballast Loom

Nah i have ballasts thats what the connector in the last pic is connected to. The ballast and the bulb.

Well tried to fit them today to make some sense of it. The connecters that dont match up are for the hi/low beam. So in short these wont fit my car which is annoying as i was told they were i direct fit. :-(

One of my bulbs blew when i was puttin them back in so i went and bought osram nightbreakers haha

@ tweek- thats what was in the car originally. They are really good bulbs mate. Highly recommend them.

that's the same kit nistro has bud, we just modified the wiring to suit, I can get some photos of how we hooked it up if your planning on putting them back on at some point? and your right the small wires are what operates the slider on the bulb to change the pattern from dipped to full.

Do you just swap the headlight connecter from on loom to the other as that would solve the problem i think. How did you remove the bulb reflector out of the headlight aswell?
