And please god DO NOT just wrap the cable around the connector, or use insulation tape, or sellotape or masking tape. it WILL fall off an then you'll have to take the door off again to fix it. Buy a multi-pack of connectors (about a fiver).

Took out ashtray, removed screws, pulled n pop, front came off,
Four clips 2 top 2 bottom,
Two brackets screwed onto the side of the old head unit,
unscrewed them, straight onto my new headunit no problem,
Attached all the wiring, only needed one adapter for the Aerial wire £3,
All the other plugs went in no problem no adapters,
Only thing thats niggled me is the black metal trim plate,
Have an Alpine 9853R, the front swings down and the trim plate wont go over the hinge piece, Not a problem, just a bother,
Love how everything is modular,
unscrew remove,
Simple.

Most speakers are 4 bolt, so with a bit of MDF, a drill and a jigsaw you can make a spacer to convert from 3 to 4 bolts. Also, I wouldn't reccomend getting bigger than 13cm speakers up front, as you may have issues with the magnet being a bit big on some speakers.
Smaller speakers aren't always worse. It depends what sound you're going for. The originals are 4x6" with a massive circular flange around the outside. They're pretty weird things.
