Heater control bulbs

Now then guys, i'm pretty sure a couple of people have done this but I couldn't find much with a search. How the friggin hell do I change the heater control bulbs??!!! I've already changed the speedo ones easy enough and I've got some spare of the same bulbs, but I'm clueless :confused: !! If anyone can er..(cough) shed some light on the matter(!) would be a big help?

when i changed mine i removed the front panel ( the one that holds the two heater vents), unscrewed the heater control panel so as i could get to the back of it. then with a small pair of thin long nose pliers i managed to pull out the two bulbs. its a bit fiddly so be careful not to break any thing.
 
cheers tla, I've got to the back of the heater controls but all i found is two blue bulbs with wires comin out the back of the holder. Nothin like the speedo bulbs i've got. But I thought they were the right ones. what were the bulbs you used like?? Can't see how to make them fit!

Oops just found it GAME, cheers. Think I might have the wrong bulbs then, thought I read a while ago on here someone used the same bulbs as for the speedo. All i can find is blue LED with wires out the back??!!!

I had a spare heater control lying about so i nicked the bulbs out of that. to remove them, i think you turn them anti-clockwise about 45 or 90 degrees. The bulbs that i removed and the ones i put back in, all had a blue rubber sleave over them. im not sure if you could swap them over on to a new bulb, i presume that they are to keep the bulbs from glaring or being to bright.
 
Aahh, found it!! blue sleeve not blue LED. Sorry to be a pain in the arse, does the bulb just pull out of the black plastic holder then, cos i'm tryin to change them for blue LEDs to match speedo

The bulbs just pull out the holders. There are 2 bulbs for the heater controls, one in the top left and 1 on the bottom right (right pain in the arse to get too!!) As your looking at it.
