can anyone advise on a fix please

cheers

You need a new heater card. around 30 quid from Nissan or cheaper 2nd hand from scrapyard/someone on here.

easy fix as said above either solder across break or solder a piece of wire linking the two strips together, brown plugged dohickey two screws bout size of a credit card

A 3x0.5" (ish) connector under dash just forward, up and left from clutch pedal. Unplug and remove unit with a couple of big phillips screws.

2 min job to find and remove. It's just a big connector with a credit-card sized circuit board with a simple single conductor track.

You'll see where it's blown. Clean blown area and solder (may even get away with conductive paint if you can get some).

Was a couple of years ago anyway. Think I paid 28 plus vat or something.

Hi
I'm trying to solder the bit where i think the break is (as indicated by the continuity test).
I need some soldering advice.

When i touch the hot iron with the solder it vapourizes.
When i touch the circuit where the solder should go, it doesn't melt.
I can't seem to get the solder onto the card.

What am i doing wrong?
Thanks

No expert but this works for me.

Use the solder and iron tip together like a pen to 'draw' the connection.
If it's too hot cool the iron with a damp sponge.

Takes practice, I use the back of a bathroom tile for that.

Should the solder be touching the iron tip when i'm trying to do the repair?

Thanks

Be careful as i bought an expensive upgraded board and it blew as well, had other problems in the system that was causing the cards to blow
