Heater controls

ooh, there's a nice idea. But iirc, last time i was at the back of the controls the cable that controls the fans etc would be too short and unflexible to move em. might be wrong though.

your right phil, they are at the top...

all the heater controls etc in the jdm pulsars are electronic, no mechanical linkage.

rick showed me this on the pulsar he has

goes straight in mate, the cable was long enough, didnt think it would be. Even if yours doesnt reach im sure you could use a bicycle brake cable liner and some cable, simple.

cant remember if i had to shuffle any of the brackets around now its been so long, only thing i can remember for sure is when the radio goes in the bottom slot you have to screw it to the brackets in teh car then screw the brackets to teh car as the stereo cage is too large for the bottom slot in the console

Nice won cov, cheers. a, stereo doesn't have a cage, just a couple of brackets screwed into the HU, b, i'll be putting a touchscreen in there hopefully anyway for my carpc. :D

since when didnt headunits come with cages? lol

you may have an issue with a screen in the lower slot as the console protrudes out and the screen may not go all teh way back, assuming its a flip out screen

gotcha, i had to do away with the cage but prefer teh brackets anyway, holds the unit more sturdy

easier to get out to... none of this key crap... which bends and becomes jammed... so you have to push it out from the glovebox... just me? damn :(

If u get a jdm heater control cable they fit right in... Alternatively, you can use some longer wire to lengthen the control cable. Not all of the jdm heater controls are electronic.

Oh, and the heater controls aren't din sized. They are slightly bigger.

Well CoV managed to get them to fit in the DIN slot so i'm sure it's not that much bigger. craiGTi, Ill have a go a bit later and tell you how it goes.

He fit it into a JDM centre console where the top cut out is slightly bigger than din.

You might be able to fit it into a normal console but just bare in mind it's a little bigger. ;)
