Hi there and welcome to the club mate.

Just a friendly tip; unless you've got some sort of real problem (dyslexia, English as a second language or whatever) best to just use plain English here, people will thank you for it and will take you more seriously.

You're only eighteen so main priorities should be learning how to work on the car, getting that no-claims bonus built up and putting something by until that glorious time when insurance and finances allow you to get you hands on a GTI. :)

You don't want to be spending a huge pile of cash that you could be putting toward saving for something a bit more powerful and interesting a bit later on.

With a 1.4 there's not much you can do performance-wise unless you want to spend an absolute fortune so any mods should be geared towards making your car a nicer place to be and a nicer thing to look at without going OTT and looking like you're trying to pass off a slow car as a street racer. It can be done with a bit of thought, a bit of taste and a bit of restraint. Subtle and simple are the key here. But whateevr you do enjoy your new ride!

p.s. sorry if this sounds a bit condescending but the advice is the result of hard experience :)

Howdy! :)

EDIT: Haha Stu, I just typed out pretty much the same thing, about dyslexia, grammar etc. then thought `fuck it` & thought the above would do.

PLUS 5 doors RULE... They are gangster haha.
Check out my thread below for muchos inspiration performance wise, and as Tommo posted above.. His car was amazing too..
Welcome! Joe
