Hello people of the Almera Owners Club!

Im new to posting on a forum so i hope this is right :confused:

I've recently been given a 1996 almera sri in black (sadly a 5 door, but it was free!) and the problem is its completely standard so i was wondering what mods i could do to it? I have been thinking along the lines of white alloys, lowering springs and maybe a nice little exhaust. What you think?

Also i wondered if theres anything cheap-ish and kinda easy i could do to improve the performance?
I say cheap because i get paid a rubbish wage and i have to split my money between modifying my car as well as my motorbike :D lol.

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Terry :). The mods you've got planned sound good. You can check members rides threads from Physco_Eddie and CoV for starters on ideas for tuning the GA16DE engine :).
 
^Doesnt look as good as a 3 door :P. I knew someone with a 5 door would pipe up about that! :lol:
 
Lol i havnt got a problem with 5 doors dont worry. And i've been looking about tryin to find a cat back exhaust, the only luck i have had is getting one custom made from powerflow which is a bit pricey i guess, any body know where i could find one cheaper?

Oh and i've just signed up to be a member, hooray!

(Theres many more questions to come by the way)
 
Excellent :). It's a worthy investment as theres so much info in these forums that will be invaluable to you :). Just remember to use the search as you'll find many questions have been asked and answered before ;).
 
Cheers for the offer man but i think im gona get a K&N induction and put a cold air feed up to it. I heard this is supposed to be better?
 
Just thought I'd chime in here, I see your near Chester....How near? I recently chucked alot of old parts out but once the 'spares' pile builds up again I'll give you a shout if you wan't anything.

Kurt will like this... There used to be a really bad hardcore tune by some chav called Terry T in Scarborough, my fellow pot washer of the day used to bring in his mates home made tunes, the lyrical content went something along the line's of

"Your listening to the tunes of me and Terry T, gunna take you to the top to the limit none stop"

Hahahaha. Your name brought back some good memories.

I live in winsford just down the road from northwich if thats any help to you? Sounds good, if you ever get to the stage of wanting to clear things out again give us a shout :thumb:

And hahaha im thinkin i should get onto making some hardcore beats!
