a'up every 1, just got my Almera GTi 2 weeks ago!! Its great, 1998 model with only 40k on the clock....Love it, eats the petrol so far though!! 2 Quick questions, when I turn the engine off, the car beeps at me a couple ov times?? Whats this all about, its not the lights either and Ive checked in the manual andit says nothing!! It doesnt seem to do it all the time though, so just wondering!!! Also, on my key fob, Ive got a red button for lock unlock and a black button, whats this for?? Again im sure it doesnt say in the manual!! Let me know some1 please, cheers!!!! Kyle
 
Do you open the door before you turn it off?

Could just be the `door open with keys in ignition` warning, or summat to do with the alarm? :confused:
 
hiya mate welcome.
the bleeping is becuase the sterio had been left in.
as for the black button (mines blue) once the alarm is armed by pressing the red button the other button disarms the sensors if you have left a dog or what ever in the car.

My Bosses Landcruiser does this, (beep beep, beep beep,) scared the s**t outta me the first time I took it to the garage for a clean, (was brand new, only got it the week before) thought `Fcuk! what`ve I done!` :eek:

When I got back & mentioned the bleeps, they said "Oh, that`s the radio, it does that."

Haven`t been in it lately, so had forgotten its `quirks`. :O
 
is it possible to change the CD player even tho the Sony CD control stick thingy thats under the indicator?? Is it possible to config a new CD player to the control stick?? Let me know, cheers
