Hello All...

Just signed up and registered as a member so thought i'd introduce myself.

Name's Jon and i'm from Ireland. I Drive a black, 1997 Lucino VZR and LOVE IT!!

Have owned a lot of cars in my short time driving including a Toyota Glanza V and Civic SiR but none of them bring a smile to my face like the VZR.

Only thing i am dissapointed about is the lack of aftermarket and tuning parts there seems to be available :(

Hope to get to know a lot of you and learn more about my car on here :D

Cheers,
jon

Ello ello, you can get pretty much anything you want for the vz-r you just have to know where to look, its been covered a few times already so if you do a search im sure it will throw up a few answers! Throw up some pics of the car if you can.

Suspension Question

Have a quick question. My suspension is very hard and i was told when i bought the car it was adjustable. i have no idea what make it is or how to adjust it???

Here's some pics.. sorry for the quality :O

Top of the center bolt has coulored numbers 1 to 4 and a tiny plastic bit in the middle with an even smaller slot like the top of a flat head screw.

any ideas lads????

Thanks for the welcomes :P

Will try get picks of the whole car up soon (weather is crap at the moment!!!)

Look like KYB AGX shocks. 1 is soft, 4 is hard..... turn the screw head so the white dot is at one of the numbers.

Thanks Rowdy-GTi. Unfortunately there is no dot (in the pics it's the cameras flash which looks like a dot) so i dont know whether to turn the screw left or right?? also doesn't such a small screw mechanism seem a little flimsy for adjusting a suspension setup?

Played around with the suspension settings today and it looks like it's already set at the softest setting i can get (very firm!!!) turned it to four and man it was rock solid!!

Any way of getting it softer other than a whole new set up?

Thanks guys

dont think there is mate, other than getting them revalved but thats a lot of work and i dont know if its possible with yours, you can do it with the Teins but it involves shipping them to England for a few weeks....

Sorry for the quality :O Taken with my fone and it was getting dark!!

Hope to get some decent shots this weekend and post them in the members rides section.

Hi there, nice car, it might just be the picture, but the rear of the car looks like its sitting higher than the front? If you have not already done so, it will look better (if possible) if you wind down the suspension at the rear.

yeah its just the picture that makes it look higher at the back.. cars in a slight pot hole and the wheel is turned out the way :)
