hello everyone

hi im andy and a newbie to the nissan world.. currently am a ford owner but am due to have a nissan almera twister 1.5 with 70k in silver

looking to make it somewhat more "my style" for example get rid of the inadequate cd/stereo player,

thanks :)

The head units in Almeras with integrated sat-nav/stereo are apparently a bugger to change but those without it's a ten minute job, just need a fascia adaptor and harness adaptor for your specific head unit and you can get them from audio specialists or even Halfords. Let us know whether or not you have built-in sat-nav and we can advise more.

thanks for the welcome ... i would of wrote back sooner as i was awaiting a email notifying me of a reply.... anyway in regards to the headunit .. no it doesnt have the satnav or big screen, my mums car has got the screen in the centre console, i have a little tray type thing ontop of the dash with a lid for storing items..

yeh i saw a guide on the internet on how to do it looks guite easy if all the panels come off correctly

hoping to get the nissan insured next week (awaiting on log book) and then i can get out there and enjoy it ... got a bit of work needs doing on it first tho :(

can anyone help me? i know this post is 3 years old but i am trying to add a media card reader to the back of my cd player on a 06 1.5 sve. the satnav/climate etc built in with screen. The top section of the head unit has clipped out but it's not budging at the bottom and i don't want to force it in case it snaps. are there screws i'm missing?
