Hiya everyone, I am new to this lark so apologies upfront for all the mistakes I am bound to make! :P I have owned a few nissans in the past, had a british racing green sri which was fine, and then I went all sensible and opted for a tino which was okay when doing the school runs but not much fun really, but now have a gawjus little bullet of a machine, my pride and joy - a sky blue gti. I am over in Fife, I used to be in the RAF but I left a couple of years back and after being posted to this area, I loved it so much I decided to settle here for good.

I am having central locking probs too, so will need to get that sorted out, and a bit of the orange cancer has started underneath but apart from that its a beauty.

Its good to see the carry on between everyone, and hope to catch up with some other mera drivers and fans soon, safe (but fun) driving all - ;) Lynnex

Welcome to the Forun Lynne - I'm not that far from Fife bout 15-20mins away could meet up if you fancied?

Get some pics up of the beast - and tell me where the hell you got a GTi from! I've been searching for one for FOOKING ages...

Forgot to mention, I try to avoid the Airshow (after 6 years of working them) You cant move for blooming people! I will see the displays from the house tho without the congestion which will be fine, and not have to queue forever for a beer! If you go, hope you enjoy it there and that the sun shines ttfn

Doesnt matter anyways - the folk who were supposed to be organizing going there didn't and its fell on its arse... :roll: if i had organized it it would've been sorted a month in advance AT LEAST...

Anywho i'm going to be organizing another legendary Scottish mini meet in November hopefully... Maybe Dundee, maybe Glasgow you just never know :P either way will let you know

Welcome to the club. Nice to see more gti's north of the border. (I've only seen another 1 GTI round here)

Hi Everyone, thanks for the reply's I feel all welcomed now! (gush) I got my GTI from a guy near forfar and I think originally it was from the Aberdeen area, it was originally a P plate but I have my personal one on it, which makes it look like an L reg. I am watching the airshow from the house, its less stressful, I hate people banging in to you all the time, I went up last night and did the spotter lark wasnt really that impressed with the aircraft that was there so hopefully more turned up for the show today. The merlins were pretty impressive tho (god I sound a right spotter now!) I was coming through kincardine yesterday and saw a really cool green/gold gti at a drive through carwash but we were in our other wheels (renault) - Its great to see so many other scots folk here, hope you all have a great weekend and if you went to the airshow that it was a good un for you, bye for now Lynnex

PS yeah Jockrock I am dying to do some skirt work on it, and perhaps a wee bitty bigger spoiler nothing too ballet barish, but just moved in to our own house so that is taking priority for now.
